Now that we are in Phase 2 church will be reopening with limited attendance with a 10:30 am and 2:00 pm service. Please see the list below to see when you can attend.

We still urge everyone to take this risk seriously. It is very important that we honor and respect those that have a different opinion than we do about the appropriate response. Each family is responsible to maintain whatever measures they feel are necessary to keep themselves and others safe. If anyone in your household has symptoms of illness, please do not come to church. Be aware that there is the possibility that someone in attendance may have the COVID-19 disease without knowing it. Please do not sit anywhere within six feet of anyone outside of your household, and we ask that you refrain from handshakes and hugging. CDC guidelines recommend that masks be worn. If you want to visit after the service, please do so outside while maintaining physical distancing. Anyone who is uncomfortable with attending a public gathering is encouraged to continue joining with us for the online worship service.

We are reopening church with limited attendance with a 10:30am and 2:00pm service using the below schedule.

Ephesians 4  I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Dear HALC congregation,
The governor has recently allowed worship services to be conducted outdoors with attendance limited to 100 people. The board is considering if this could be a feasible option. The weather forecast for the next 10 days shows rain, so that is something that we would have to consider. Their are also some state health guidelines and technology obstacles that would need to be implemented. We continue to pray and ask for your prayers that we may soon have the ability to worship inside of our building.

5-26-2020 regarding Spring Meeting

Dear Hockinson ALC members, God’s Peace,

As was mentioned in the church announcements last Sunday, we will be voting on our Spring Meeting agenda items online this month. We are requesting that all dues paying members who are wishing to vote, send your email address to secretary.hockinsonchurch@gmail.com so that we can send you the Spring Meeting voting survey. The survey is mostly multiple choice and easy to do. We would like to ask all those dues paying members who are interested in voting, to submit their email address to the Secretary no later than Wednesday May 27th, 2020. Please put Spring Meeting in the subject line. There is one ballot per email address so please send addresses for each dues paying member of your household.

Hockinson Apostolic Lutheran Church

The WA State Governor has prohibited all gatherings larger than 250 people to limit the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), so as a church we will implement the following until further notice:

We will be going to online Sunday morning services through at least March 29th.  All other regularly scheduled services are canceled. We are continuing to monitor this situation with the hope that we can resume services as soon as possible.

Please join us online tomorrow at 10:30 am for the service. Pastor Ron will be leading us observing our President’s call for a National Day of Prayer.  The sermon will be delivered by John Isaacson.

On behalf of the HALC Board

Brian Seppanen, Secretary
